Perry Zooms to Front of Pack for 2012 GOP Nomination

Leads Romney by 29% to 17%

by Jeffrey M. Jones
PRINCETON, NJ -- Shortly after announcing his official candidacy, Texas Gov. Rick Perry has emerged as rank-and-file Republicans' current favorite for their party's 2012 presidential nomination. Twenty-nine percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents nationwide say they are most likely to support Perry, with Mitt Romney next, at 17%.
The real news is that Ron Paul is in third place with 13% of the vote right behind Romney and it looks like Romney could be Ron Paul and the Paulites next victim.
Take a look at the cross tabs and see how well Ron Paul does with 18 to 29 and is tied with Romney in the 30 to 49 age group.

A Council Speaker Who Tightens the Purse Strings on Dissent

To drive down Kings Highway in East Flatbush is to pass block after block of near-identical brick homes, neat gardens, statuary and ironwork.

Yet if you live on the road’s north side, in CouncilmanJumaane D. Williams’s district, the leader of the City Council allocates about $2.50 per resident each year in discretionary spending. If you live on the south side, in Councilman Lewis A. Fidler’s district, the leader showers about four times as much on you, or $10 per resident.
These are tiny piles of cash in a $66 billion New York City budget. But working-class immigrant neighborhoods like these in Brooklyn suffer many afflictions: shabby buildings, drug dealing, too many young men with guns and too few with jobs.
Looks like NYC has a new "BOSS" named Christine Quinn and the NY Times does not seem to be in favor of another Boss Tweed.

PatakiStein is inching closer to making a run for the White House and that should put a few bucks into Arthur's bank account as for Rudy he is still "Thinking"
The SI Gop (Molinari) are waiting for "Rudy" to say yes so they can lead the Rudy charge they don't seem to be big fans of PatakiStein I wonder why ?
So I say lets get it on between PatakiStein and Rudy to see who is "King" of NY and can win Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida, etc,etc ,who knows maybe we will have a good old fashion "Back Room Convention

Panicked Dems in Turner 'mail'strom
By ERIK KRISS Bureau Chief August 20, 2011
Thats the message David Weprin and the Democ"RATS" are sending
My mind is wondering WHY are they so scared that they are pulling out all the stops to "WIN"
Could it be the election of Bob Turner will be the "POLITICAL SHOT THAT WILL BE HEARD AROUND THE COUNTRY", and spell doom for "Big Brother" Obama and the Democ"RATS" in 2012 ?
All eyes will be focused on this race as we move closer to election day and if you thought the special election in Western New York was "Big" this election is going to be a "block buster".
The other point I want to make is "What deal has been cut" between David Weprin and the Leadership of the Queens , Albany and Washington Democ"RATS" ?
Every senior congressperson is eying his district like a piece of "Juniors Cheese Cake" looking to see what piece they want.
Will Ackerman retire and then they David could run in the merged seat and not have to move
Will Crowley join the "GOTO" Queens Consulting and Lobbying firm as there "Washington" person he and his family already have a home there and it seems to me they do not want to move back to Queens.
If Turner wins the district is "GONE" in 2012
So one has to wonder '"WHAT IS THE DEAL" behind door number #1, #2 or #3
The other interesting part of all this is Peter Koo endorsement if he stays a Republican and runs for the State Senate or Congress in a district that favors Asian's David Weprin would lose face if he did not endorse Koo
There are many deals taking place and one always has to remember all politics is local.
The other interesting thing is the "GOTO" Consulting and Lobbying firm who have made a bundel of money as David's consultants in previous races are sure to "Clean Up" in this race.
MOMMY" is so proud of her "SON" who is making money like a Republican and I wonder does he really want to pay more taxes on all the money he is making ?

Pawlenty Drops Out of Republican Race

DES MOINES  — Tim Pawlenty, the former governor of Minnesota, dropped his bid for the Republican nomination for president on Sunday morning, saying his disappointing performance in Iowa’s straw poll convinced him that his campaign had run its course.
Just hours after his third-place finish in Iowa, Mr. Pawlenty said on ABC’s “This Week” program that his message “didn’t get the kind of traction we needed and hoped for” in order to continue.
“There are a lot of other choices in the race,” he said. “The audience, so to speak, was looking for something different.”
Ron Paul scores his first victim of the 2012 elections.
Ron Paul was only 153 votes short of winning Iowa straw poll and by coming in second caused Pawlenty to drop out.
The Paulites" have claimed there first victim and this will energize them to campaign harder and raise a "TON" of money for there "HERO".
Now lets turn to Rudy who fell victim to Ron Paul in 2008 and Patakistein.
Will either one of them throw their hat into the rink now ?
Who will be the next victim of the "PAULITES" ?
BTW IF Ted Pataki runs in Texas and his father decides to run for President who will need support ?

Published: August 4, 2011-NY Times

Stephen Goldsmith, a high-profile deputy to Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg who came under fire for the city’s poor response to a crippling blizzard in December, announced on Thursday that he would leave his position after just 14 months in office.

Mr. Goldsmith, a former mayor of Indianapolis, was brought in by Mr. Bloomberg last year with much fanfare: a Harvard professor and expert in innovation poached from the ivory tower to reinvent city government.

ut Mr. Goldsmith never seemed to master the day-to-day mechanics of New York’s sprawling government or relish the political intricacies of the job, and dissatisfaction with his performance became widespread in City Hall, according to two aides to Mr. Bloomberg who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of angering the mayor.

Mr. Goldsmith informed Mr. Bloomberg of his resignation this week. He is being replaced by Caswell F. Holloway, the commissioner of the city’s Department of Environmental Protection.

It seems the "City Hall" insiders are flapping away on how "Bad"Goldsmith was and how they need "Insiders" like Cas to run the show.

Now lets not forget it was under the "Leadership" of these insiders that CityTimeGate was brewing and went unnoticed, they just kept on approving all those increases.

All those "Insiders" have been unable to say where Patricia Harris was during the snow storm she is the "#1 insider" and she also did not notice the CityTimeGate increases I guess she thought that 600 million plus was just "Pocket Change"

Why were the "Insiders" scared of Goldsmith, did he find out about things the "Insiders" wanted to not to be found out.

Harry Siegel of the Village Voice has raised many questions regarding the Bloomberg Terminals and e-mails were the "Insiders" worried that Goldsmith also was worried about their use ?

Did Cas have one when he was at City Hall ?

Harry Siegel has rised many many questions that need to be answered or maybe Investigated by DOI or another law enforcement agency.

All these terminals are using city resource to operate and are on City owned property.

This could be the start of "E-MailGate" and that is the very last thing "The Prisoner of City Hall" needs.

Are city e-mail accounts used by mayor's own political operations?
Village Voice
By Harry Siegel Wednesday, Aug 3 2011
Last week, I asked the mayor's press office for what seemed like simple information. Two sources with firsthand knowledge had told me that deputy mayors and other higher-ups at City Hall have used "" e-mail accounts for their political work, going back at least through the 2009 mayoral race, and that they suspected that those accounts were tied to Bloomberg Terminals belonging to the mayor's office.

ow, it's true that officials have always used private e-mail accounts and phone lines to keep their political and public duties on separate channels. But if officials have used the city's accounts for politicking, public and private lines have been crossed—and quite possibly legal ones as well.
Asked directly if e-mail accounts given out by the city were used for campaigning, the mayor's press office didn't say "no," just "no comment"—leaving unanswered the question of whether the accounts used by top-ranking members of the administration are tied to the valuable Bloomberg Terminals that were donated to the mayor's office by his private business when he arrived at City Hall in 2002.
Is this the beginning of an E-MAILGATE Scandal ?

I am sure if they did send any e-mails a lot of people must have received them and there could be copies all over the place.

Will DOI have to open up an investigation based on this news report by Harry Siegel ?

I wonder if HaggertyGate ever received an e-mail from these account ?

This could be very damaging to "The Prisoner of City Hall"

Bloomberg to Use Own Funds in Plan to Aid Minority Youth

The administration of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, in a blunt acknowledgment that thousands of young black and Latino men are cut off from New York’s civic, educational and economic life, plans to spend nearly $130 million on far-reaching measures to improve their circumstances.

The program, the most ambitious policy push of Mr. Bloomberg’s third term, would overhaul how the government interacts with a population of about 315,000 New Yorkers who are disproportionately undereducated, incarcerated and unemployed.
To pay for the endeavor in a time of fiscal austerity, the city is relying on an unusual source: Mr. Bloomberg himself, who intends to use his personal fortune to cover about a quarter of the cost, city officials said. A $30 million contribution from Mr. Bloomberg’s foundation would be matched by that of a fellow billionaire, George Soros, a hedge fund manager, with the remainder being paid for by the city.

30 Million down 570 million to go thats the balance need to reimburse the NYC taxpayers on the cost of the CityTime Scandal that took place on "The Prisoner of City Halls" watch.

I have called for him to reimburse the 600 Million and I am glad he is doing it in his "OWN" way.

I have also called for "FAT CAT" Liberal Billionaires like George Soro's to pay more in taxes and I am glad he too has heeded my call.

I hope this is not a "One Shot" deal and they will pay half the costs for as long as the program is going on.

In fact "OTHER" Fat Cat LIberal Billionaires and Millionaires should pick up the other 60 million.
